White Cloud Runners Headed to State Finals
Photos and story by Andrea Atwood The White Cloud Harriers returned to Chippewa Hills to compete at the MHSAA Region 30-4 on Saturday, October 28. The boys team emerged as champions as they bested both Breckenridge and Saginaw Lutheran Seminary. The Indians were favored by one point, but the flawless execution of the race plan resulted in a 25 point difference between White Cloud and second place Breckenridge. In addition to the win, the White Cloud team qualifies for the Michigan D4 State Meet on November 4. Coleson Cruzan was third overall, followed closely by Carson Foondle in 6th place. Kaleb Canning was 12, Avery Bowman 15th, Wyatt Karnes 24th, Donnie Grovesteen 29th, and Dalton Crawford 32nd. Andrea Feldpausch was first for the girls, finishing in 8th place and securing her spot at the State meet next weekend. Allie Rodriguez was 59th, Charlotte Karnes 62nd and Anna Mohr 63rd. In addition to qualifying for the State Meet, Andrea, Coleson, Carson, Kaleb, and Avery were Regional medalists. Avery had a perfectly timed Personal Best along with Dalton Crawford, and Charlotte Karnes. Donnie Grovesteen had a Season best time. Our runners of the meet were the boys' Varsity seven.
