Grant defeated Tri County tonight in 4 sets, winning 25-11, 23-25, 25-15, 25-14. Coach Schuitema: “We did a lot of things really well tonight. What especially stood out to me was our hitting and passing. Because we passed well, we were able to be in-system a lot! We've been working hard on getting better at our hitting efficiency! Chloee, our setter, was able to use a lot of different options on offense and it worked!” Leaders for the game were: Chloee Chase with 5 kills, 3 aces, 31 assists and 16 digs Madison Brooks led us with 15 kills Danica Gee added 12 kills, 1 ace, 1 block, and 11 digs Bella Welch had 17 digs, 4 kills, 2 aces Jocee Pleune had 20 digs Payton Bouwkamp had 12 digs, 5 kills, 2 aces Grant plays Central Montcalm on Thursday at home starting with the MS at 4 pm, JV at 5:30 and Varsity following. Grant's overall record is 12-10-1 White Cloud volleyball dominated the night against Chip Hills in sweeping 3 games. Leading the effort was Brooklyn Foondle's 7 kills and 7 points. Hannah Cruzan's perfect serving led to 14 points. Hailee Brown added 8 points and Brown/Cruzan combined for 14 digs. Gracy Holmes had 7 service points. The defensive effort led by Jaden Gomez's 17 digs kept the Chippewas at bay. The Lady Indians are 5-1 in league play.
