Robins drops 21 in loss to MCC
Mason County Central 54 Holton 32 A shorthanded Red Devil team made the trip to Scottville Thursday to take on MCC and could not keep pace with the Spartans. Coach Jordan: “We struggled to put the ball in the hoop tonight, and ran out of gas in the second half. We only had 7 tonight so the rotation was shorter than you would like. The girls logged in a bunch of minutes tonight and our lack of conditioning showed. So we are going to have to address that over the next few weeks and if we can’t finish games we will continue to struggle in the second half against good teams. “Unlike the first game we had zero balance and Ryann was the only one who scored more than 5 points for us, which is not a recipe for success for us. “We hope to get back on track next week as we try to string a few quality games together and continue to work on our weaknesses.” Robins finished with 21 points and pulled down 13 boards for the Devils while Abby Fowler dished out a half dozen assists to go with her 4 points. After two road games to begin the season Holton (0-1, 1-1) will return home to face longtime rival Hesperia (0-1, 1-1).
