 The Tigers of Grant traveled to Fremont to take on the Packers in the first round of district play on Wednesday afternoon. Fremont outshot Grant 20-4 and won the game 4-1. Grant took an early lead on a Cesar Hernandez goal. However, Carter Moon answered just two minutes later on a ball from Lane Converse tying the score at 1-1. Riccardo Lapertosa, David Wachter, and Braiden McDonald also added goals for the Packers. Unus Opgard and Moon also added assists on the afternoon. Joe Kortge made 3 saves in net for the Packers while Logan Osborn made 16 saves for the Tigers. Fremont improved to 14-3-4 overall while Grant fell to 6-10-1. Tournament action returns to action Tuesday at Fremont Middle School with the second round of the Division 3 Soccer District 46. Round 2 Games: Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Orchard View at Tri County 4:30 pm Oakridge at Fremont 4:45 pm The winner advances to the Finals at Fremont Middle School on October 19 at 2:00 pm.
