![]() Coach Grimard: The Lady Panthers continue to push for greater competition and ended the day with 3 wins 2 losses and a tie to state ranked Leland for their first appearance in the Traverse City Central Tournament. The Panthers found themselves in the silver division after a 1-1-1 record in pool play competing against some very skilled opponents. In brackets, they moved on to beat Grayling and Glen Lake, bringing them into the final match against the Ludington Orioles. The Panthers came up short and could not defeat the Orioles , however,we are still happy with the hard work and effort of the hard work and effort of this team. The Panther record is 16-6-1, and 3-0 in the CSAA. The Panther offense was led by Emily Bayle with 28 kills, Rachel Romero had 15 kills, Isabelle Rumsey and Brooke Billings with 11 and 10 kills respectively. At the service line, Romero and Delaney Yates had 11 aces on the day, Rumsey and Billings 8 and 6 aces respectively. Rumsey also led with 5 blocks and Bayle added 3 blocks on the day. Romero led defensively, with 37 digs, Bayle had 29 digs, Billings 9 digs, and Adriana Escobedo, Sayer, and Sierra Cechura each added 6 digs for the Panthers. The Panthers take on the Kent City Eagles on Wednesday, September 18th in Kent City.
