Fremont Sophomore Linnea Paige has been named to the West Michigan Conference Lakes Division All Conference Team. Paige finished 4th in the first conference meet at Montague, 2nd at Whitehall, 2nd at Manistee and 3rd at Ludington. She was also All-Conference as a freshman.
Ludington placed 5 girls on the All-Conference team, Summer Brower, Annabelle Lowman, Nadia Grierson, Christina Theis and Mackenzie Keillor. Summer Brower placed first individually in all four conference meets. Cecilia Postma was the lone Manistee runner. Cami Kraai and Adalyn Britton represented Whitehall. Merceydez Patton from Oakridge rounded out the ten All-Conference runners.
Honorable Mention went to Raegan Ruel of Oakridge, Olivia Andersen of Ludington, Cammie Erickson of Montague, Georgia Haag of Manistee and sophomore Joelle Patten of Fremont. Patten finished 14th, 17th, 16th and 12th in the four conference meets.
The Fremont girls finished third in the conference as a team behind Ludington and Manistee.
The Fremont boys placed three runners on the All-Conference team, senior Sean Pettis, junior Carter Sherman and sophomore Isaac Romero. Junior Cole Lowery and sophomore Chase Lowery were Honorable Mention. Pettis finished first overall in each of the four conference meets, setting the pace for the Fremont boys. Sherman finished third in each conference meet and Romero had finishes of 6th, 8th, 14th and 13th. This team continued Fremont’s recent success, bringing home the conference championship by winning the first three races and finishing a close second in the final race.
The remainder of the All-Conference team was made up of Stewart Waters of Whitehall, Peyton Ruel of Oakridge, Jose Flores of Ludington, Hunter Parsons of Whitehall, Noah Lowman of Ludington, David Reisterer of Ludington and Trey Keson of Ludington.
The others on the Honorable Mention list includes Christian Schramski of Manistee, Jack O’Donnell of Manistee and Andrew Boeringa of Whitehall.
