Bowling The Packers had a home match against Ravenna today at Fremont Lanes. The Girls team started out, throwing a 154 Baker game, but would end up falling short by 5 pins. The Bulldogs won the 2nd game and both Bakers with Fremont going down 10 - 0. From Coach Hopkins: “The team bowled average regular games but the Ravenna girls bowled better winning both games and the match 28 - 2” Fremont was led by Sophia Romine with a 173 and Annika Yuhasz added a 151. The Packer Boys started out slow, throwing a 111 Baker game but came back with a nice 171 and would take 4 out of the 10 possible points. They continue to improve, throwing their best two regular games of the season with outstanding games of 959 and 997. The team was led by Aston Yuhasz with games of 248 and 218, Kaden Johnson had 233 and a 218, and Luke Stitt had his best game ever, a 223. Wrestling The Packers had a good day on the mat finishing 2-0 on the day. Fremont beat North Muskegon in the first matchup in a tightly contested bout 37-34 and closed out the day with a rout of Ravenna 60-18. Outstanding wrestlers for Fremont on the day were; Chase Montague, Killian Prewitt, Tee Ward, Kayden Stenberg, Beckett Newell, and Trey Myers who all finished 2-0. The Packers will wrestle again this Saturday at Hopkins.
