![]() SOCCER Packers advance to District Finals; Lapertosa nets a pair Fremont 4 Oakridge 1. Oakridge traveled to Fremont for the second round of district play on Tuesday afternoon. Packer Carter Moon started the scoring on a crossed ball by Kris VanTreese, but Oakridge answered just 5 minutes later on a head ball goal from Gavin Hazekamp. Riccardo Lapertosa put the Packers up for good when he finished a ball from Moon with 17 minutes to play in the first half. Lapertosa and Jaxx Miller added goals in the second half for Fremont. The Packers outshot Oakridge 11-2. Joe Kortge made 1 save in net for the hosts and Spencer Anderson made 7 saves for Oakridge. Oakridge finished the season 5-9-3 and Fremont improves to 15-3-4. The Packers move on to compete for the District title when they face the Cardinals of Orchard d View Saturday at 2pm. The match will be held at Fremont. VOLLEYBALL Pafford collects 10 kills in conference win; Pack tied for top spot Fremont 3 TC 0 The Packers defeated Tri-County in another conference win. Tonight was senior night as this was our last home game of the season. After honoring the seniors the Pack took the floor and beat Tri-County in a dominating fashion of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-16. The Packer offense was led by Rhi Pafford with 10 kills followed by Natalie Jamieson with 8 and Grace Hudson with 6 kills. Defensively a lot of athletes contributed as Kennedy Christoffersen finished with 10 digs, Rhi Pafford and Carle Bruggema 8 digs, Calla Miller and Kaitlynn Bennett 5 each. Carle Bruggema had 24 assists. Serving aggressively as a team, the Pack had 15 aces. Calla Miller had 5, Kaitlynn Bennett and Natalie Jamieson had 3, and Bri Webber and Carle Bruggema had 2 each. The win gives the Pack a 5-1 record and a share of first place in conference play with an overall record of 18-13-1. This weekend the team will compete at the Sparta Invitational.
