Harrier to represent Grant in Brooklyn
It has been 5 years since Grant Cross Country has been represented at the MHSAA State Finals. Brodie Delamater broke that streak and placed 7th at Allendale’s Div. 3 Region-21 Meet last Saturday. Delamator ran his best race of his career with a time of 16:43. Coming into his senior year, he set his goal to have his best season and make the State Finals. He spent his summer on a rigid training program set up by his coach, Marie Covey. “He did everything we talked about in early June. He ran a lot of miles on the road and track, and he spent time in the weight room getting stronger. He has earned his place on the starting line this Saturday at the State Finals.” reports Covey. The last Tiger runner to compete at State was Colton Covington who finished 15th with a time of 16:19.5 in 2018.
