Cloud Softball Goes 4-2 For The Week

Holton 8-9 White Cloud 2-0
The Indians were finally able to get conference play started Tuesday night, but they looked like a team that had not played in 2 weeks(which they had not). The girls struggled to get the  rust knocked off and dropped both games of the doubleheader to Holton. Madeleine Seabrook had 3 hits in the first game, followed by Hallie Schulz with a pair of hits and Elexis Plotts had an RBI double. Seabrook had 2 more hits in the 2nd game.

White Cloud 15-16 Lakeview 0-1
The Indians  were able to bounce back from their struggles on Tuesday with a doubleheader sweep of Lakeview Thursday. Hannah Brown led the attack in the first game with 4 hits including a triple and a solo home run and 3 RBI’s followed by Hallie Schulz with 2 hits, one of which a double and 2 RBI’s and Madison Smith had 2 hits with an RBI. Hallie Schulz got the win with 5 K’s in the 5 inning 15-0 victory.
 The girls kept it going in Game 2 knocking off the Wildcats 16-1 in 3 innings. Allison Schulz collected 4 RBI’s,  Elexis Plotts had a double and 2 RBI’s, Madeleine Seabrook and Olivia Bowman each had 2 hits with a double and Hannah Brown had a hit and 2 RBI’s. Kara Davis picked up her first Varsity win striking out 4.

White Cloud 4-16 Morley Stanwood 1-6
In Friday’s first game Morley opened the scoring with a solo HR in the bottom of the 2nd. White Cloud tied it up with a triple from Madison Smith and a Sac Fly from Madeleine Seabrook. The Indians  went up 1 in the top of the 4th and stayed that way until the top of the 6th when Olivia Bowman & Hannah Brown each drew walks followed by Hallie Schulz who singled to load the bases. Allison Schulz singled scoring Bowman & Brown.  Allison Schulz had 2 hits & 2 RBI’s while sister Hallie had 6 K’s, allowed only 3 hits and walking none for a 4-1 win.
 In the nightcap, the Cloud  scored in every inning except the 5th enroute to a 16-6 win. Hannah Brown hit for the cycle plus drew a BB and had 2 RBI’s, Elexis Plotts had 3 hits with a HR and 4 RBI’s, Madison Smith had 3 hits with a 2B, HR and 2 RBI’s. Hallie Schulz had 2 hits and 3 RBI’s followed by Kora Wright with a pair of hits. Kara Davis got the W striking out 3, but better yet, walking none.
