Suggestion Box- Area Happenings By N3 Entertainment Team Friday night baseball under the lights in Fremont. The Packers and Red Devils take to the field in a special game to honor the memory of the late FHS student Cam Beattie who passed away from accidental injuries two years ago. If you are a fan of baseball there is nothing like an evening of well played high school ball to whet the appetite for the game. The experience holds no comparison to the limitations inherent in watching it on TV and while the performers might fall far short of the abilities of their... ...professional counterparts there is a purity to the high school game that cannot be captured at any other level.
It is indeed a superior product to baseball purists. And even if you don’t particularly care for the game this is a nice event and a suitable way to honor a fallen classmate and friend. The game starts at 7pm at Fremont’s baseball field located behind the middle school. Organizers would like to make it an annual event so if you go you can always say 20 years down the road you were at the first. This weekend the Stage Door Players up in White Cloud will be running their second week of “Doublewide Texas” the latest in the series of offbeat comedic offerings the group has become known for. Community Theater is a wonderful enterprise and one that deserves to be supported. The best way to support it is to attend. Buy a ticket and witness the thespian efforts of your friends and neighbors. Shows are Friday and Saturday at 7pm and the theater is located on Main street in downtown White Cloud. Oh, and another way to support Community Theater? Audition. Take a risk and try for a part. LionHeart Productions will be holding auditions for The Addams family Monday Tuesday and Wednesday from 630pm- 9pm at the Grant Elementary School.
