Russian National Ballet at the Dogwood on January 10 The Russian National Ballet presents “Sleeping Beauty” at the Dogwood Center for Performing Arts on Tuesday, January 10. In the grand tradition of Russian ballet, the graceful dancers from Moscow will bring “Sleeping Beauty” to life through this ballet perfect for the entire family. As one of the most exquisite romantic fairy tale ballets of all time, and a timeless score by Tchaikovsky, the ballet captures the delight, fantasy, and drama of a cherished story. Experience the dancers steel point work, sharply accented spinning turns, soaring leaps, high extensions, brilliant battery (beats in the air), daring lifts, all giving this fairy tale plot lavish stage treatment. With its roots in the Bolshoi, the Russian National Ballet... ...remains a standard bearer for the traditions and majesty of classic Russian ballet. The dancers have vast experience and legendary Bolshoi principal dancer Elena Radchenko serves as artistic director.
The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 18 and under. They are available through the Dogwood Center Box Office, NCCA-Artsplace in downtown Fremont, or on-line at www.dogwoodcenter.com. For information, phone 231.924.8885.
