Gangster Gala To Aid Museum, Love INC.

Sheiks and Sheba’s, Guys and Molls, here’s your chance to collect some dough without having some flatfoot wanting to send you to The Big House.

Sportsman’s Bar the downtown dining spot in Newaygo a city with a lot of history will be calling on folks to bring back some of that history as they invite the citizenry to the Gangster Gala this Saturday night. Grab some gangster garb, impress the judges and you could walk away with a C-note in cold hard cash for being the best dressed flapper or racketeer in the whole juke joint.

The event celebrates the intriguing Bootleggers and Gangsters exhibit currently enjoying a popular run at the Newaygo Museum and...

...Heritage Center located just up the street from Sportsman’s and proceeds from the event will be split between the Museum and Love INC.

The folks at Sportsman’s will be going all out for this extravaganza with photo op props, dastardly decorations and surprises throughout the evening. A DJ will be spinning tunes from 7pm to Midnight and dinner and drink specials will ensure a memorable night for all who attend.

Admission is free though donations to these worthy members of our community will be most cheerfully accepted and appreciated.

So slap on a porch cover or slip into a fringed frock and get ready for one of those legendary evenings of fun and frolic at the Sportsman’s this Saturday.
