Celebration on the Causeway
Freedom Fest is back Saturday, July 1st! Newaygo County 4th of July Celebration Committee and Croton Township will be bringing one of the largest 4th of July celebrations in Michigan. There will be Food Trucks, live music, beer area and, at approximately 10:15pm, a live singing of our National Anthem followed by some of the best fireworks in West Michigan! Event Chairperson, Denise Anderson, says "whether you are on a boat or on the causeway, we'd love to have you and your family celebrate with us!" The Croton/Hardy Road will be closed near both ends of the Causeway beginning at 6pm and it will remain closed until midnight. Last call for ticket purchase will be at 9:45pm, with the last call to get a drink at 10pm. No drinks will be served once the fireworks start. The event will be over at the conclusion of the fireworks. And, if you are willing, committee organizers are looking for some volunteers. Individuals are needed to check ID’s, sell drink tickets, and act as servers in the beer area. Interested? Please contact Denise at 269-330-5656.
