Bowersox’s rich blend of blues, country, folk and rock makes her one of the most dynamic young voices in music to come along in years. She has performed alongside everyone from Harry Connick Jr., Joe Cocker, and Alanis Morrisette, to Michael Franti, John Popper and BB King. Since her Idol run, from which... Bowersox gained widespread attention, she has released two albums. Farmer’s Daughter, a 12-track record released in 2010, includes her song “Holy Toledo,” which she played during an episode of Idol — the first time a contestant’s original song earned that honor. Bowersox then released All That for This in 2013; she wrote or co-wrote all of its songs, and it also includes a duet with Wallflowers’ frontman Jakob Dylan.
The show will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Black Box. Tickets are $17.50 and are available through the Dogwood Center Box Office, NCCA-Artsplace in downtown Fremont, or on-line at www.dogwoodcenter.com. For information, phone 231.924.8885. The Dogwood Center is located one mile east of downtown Fremont. Comments are closed.
