By Doug Harmon No turtles were harmed in the writing of this article! It's finally happened, turtle eggs hatching, at our cabin, the summer end premier event. Most of you are focused on those summer end events and chores that you have put off. We anxiously await the arrival of our new turtle population. Recently we had seven of the most perfect little replicas of mom and dad snapping turtle. Actually, our neighbors discovered them and gathered them up to share with us. We admired their resilience in surviving the many obstacles in being born in the first place. Turtle eggs are a delicacy to many creatures that wander the woods. After taking photos and videos, all present enjoyed releasing them back into the wild. Good luck little turtles!
