Letter: Join the Newaygo County Climate Marchers! Do you feel passionate about protecting our Mother Earth? Local citizens are invited to gather for one hour, 11 am to noon, Saturday, April 29th in Brooks Park, downtown Newaygo, for a Climate March. The March will begin promptly at 11 and commence around the park and the city block. At 11:30, Marchers will gather at the amphitheater to hear brief presentations and music, on the importance of climate stewardship. All ages are encouraged to make their own earth friendly signs and participate. Learn how we can better preserve our environment here in this county and in Michigan. Goals for the March are information sharing and an opportunity to respect and celebrate our Earth’s wonderful resources. The march is wheelchair accessible and will be peaceful. This is a Sister Climate March in solidarity with others occurring around the nation on this day. After the March, participants are encouraged to enjoy the Riverwalk or Marshall Park trek and one of the eateries in Newaygo. Sally Kane Newaygo MI Comments are closed.
