Kelly Smith of White Cloud has announced his candidacy for the open seat in the Michigan House of Representatives 101st district The newly redrawn district includes all of Newaygo County, parts of Oceana, Mason, Lake and Wexford County. Smith, a lifelong resident of Newaygo County and the former Director of the county’s Road Commission, is pursuing the office to help bring the voice of rural Michigan to Lansing. As an innovative problem solver who knows how to get things done Smith will bring those traits to the Capitol Building along with a healthy dose of common sense.
