 Weekend Construction Slated For Gerber Memorial Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial will be undergoing limited construction on two upcoming weekends, Sept. 9 to Sept. 11 and Sept. 16 to Sept. 18. Among other upgrades, the enlargement of a hallway door will improve wheelchair access and improve traffic flow.
The first phase of the project will affect traffic around the administrative offices, the North Elevator, pharmacy, supply chain, chapel, financial counseling, surgery/endo, the linen room and the mail room. The second phase will affect traffic around volunteer services, discharge planning and the women’s locker room. Visitors and staff will be advised to follow signs that will guide them through the construction area. Work will only be done Fridays through Sundays and all construction is expected to be completed Sept. 18. “This project will improve the patient experience while we upgrade Gerber Memorial so we can continue to provide care to our community,” said Gerber Memorial Chief Operating Officer Jan Stone.
