With two of our area’s marching bands aiming to impress the judges at Ford Field Saturday and a slew of runners from our parts set to take their mark at Michigan International Speedway the same day our area looks to be well represented in these two state finals.
The Grant and Newaygo Marching Bands have put together a pair of compelling performances that have brought them much success this season and an invitation to the season finale soiree in Detroit.
Katie Bayne in Newaygo and Ryan Broome her counterpart in Grant are part of a treasure trove of talented Band Directors in our area who have built strong programs with committed members.
We wish them well.
