 Fatal Crash Claims Life Of Motorcyclist The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Department released information about a fatal accident occurring Saturday at just after 4pm on E. 1 Mile Rd near N. Sycamore in Wilcox Township. According to the report an SUV driven by Jessica Heather Cole 30, of Mt. Sterling Kentucky and a motorcycle driven... ...by George Paul Fernandez, 66 of Midland Michigan were involved in the crash. Mr. Fernandez died at the scene and his next of kin have been notified.
Ms. Cole and the two small children riding with her were not injured. The accident is under investigation and it is not known if alcohol was a factor at this time. Mr. Fernandez was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The Sheriff’s Department was assisted by the White Cloud Police Department, the White Cloud Fire Department, Life Ambulance, the Newaygo County Medical Examiner’s Office and the Midland County Sheriff’s Department.
