![]() Carolyn Ruth Rozanski was born December 22, 1938, and lived life well until May 15, 2020. Carolyn was a strong woman with a gentle demeanor, giving heart, graceful disposition, and glorious love for the Lord. In her early years, she was a “beautician,” helping women all around southeast Michigan look their best. Later, she drove a school bus, shepherding children safely from home to school and back again. She was the widow of Walter Rozanski, daughter of John Gramblin and Louise Mercer; sister of Beverly Booker, Robert Gramblin and Donald Gramblin; mother of Douglas (Mary) Calloway, Doreen (Gary) Hammond, and Darrel (fiancée, Cheryl Crowley Migues) Calloway; grandmother of Dacia Davis, Peter Calloway, Ryan Calloway, Cullen Barrett; great-grandmother of Jada Davis; Spiritual mother to her closest of friends that called her “Mom;” Aunt, family member and friend to many — from Michigan to Texas and places in between. Carol and (Papa) Wally, the love of her life for 25 years, fostered 18 children ranging from toddlers to teenagers and were among the most courageous of prayer warriors for Jesus. After Wally went Home to Jesus, she journaled for years of her love for him and the strength she drew from Jesus to get her through, knowing one day they would be reunited in Glory. At 78 years young, Carol moved to a retirement community. When she finished praying for another resident just days after her move, she said, “Now I know that God put me here for a reason.” Genuinely loved by everyone who met her, including the Hospice care team during her final weeks, the joy of Carol’s Christian walk wasn’t hard to see in her sparkling eyes and her infectious smile would melt the hardest of hearts. Her quick wit and a touch of sass rounded out the joy of being in her company. His Love only surpasses Carol’s love for Jesus. Let us rejoice that she is now home with her Savior and pray for the salvation of those she loved that may not yet know of the Grace and Mercy freely given to all who believe. There will be no services at this time but you are encouraged to share memories and condolences with the family online at www.crandellfh.com. For a more lasting memorial friends are asked to consider Spectrum Health Hospice. John 14: 1-3 Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
