![]() Ahh, marriage. About a year and a half ago the Pew Research Center put out some facts about marriage gleaned from interviewing couples. When it came to their list of reasons why people marry the top one, to no one’s surprise we would hope, was love. We were curious that 88% of couples listed this as a primary motivation. Did that mean 12% didn’t think it was important? In the past decade Newaygo County has averaged a bit over 300 marriages per year. These couples recently made their way to the Newaygo County Clerk's office in White Cloud to add their names to the 2020 stats. Congratulations to all.
