It’s Time! N3 ShopLocal Starts Their Seasonal Search Engines
By N3 Retail Exploration Team
For many years now, we at N3 World Headquarters and Home of the Hallmark Holiday Movie Marathon (yes our Ms. Wirts is not alone in this obsession and no I do not share the enthusiasm) have been researching and writing about our area's unique shopping opportunities particularly since we're literally minutes away from the beginnings of that seasonal surge of generosity that serves to bring out our collective inner Santa.
This year, despite what seemed to be an overly abundant amount of opposition to the idea from advisors on all fronts, we have decided to continue this timely tradition.
Of course, if you’re intent on handing out gift cards to a mall store or...
...some big box outlet because it’s easy and no one ever complains, have at it. The total lack of spontaneity, creativity and personalized touches aside, I’m certain these little plastic items that involve less gift wrapping and even less forethought are the model of convenience.
But look, if you want to actually capture some of the spirit of the season, you know, the practice of gift giving as a way to honor your giftee by putting some actual personal investment into the effort? Well then, start exploring and seek out the plentiful present prospects populating these parts.
And start with a setting that stands out among these palaces of presentness.
Some of the truly premier gifting opportunities to be found in our region await shoppers with the annual arrival of the NCCA-Artsplace Holiday Artist Marketthis Saturday beginning at 10am.
Want to really hit the whole local shopping thing in a big way? Ok, then think about not only supporting the innovative and far reaching initiatives being carried out by the talented troupe who staff this emporium of inspiration, but at the very same time supporting the wonderful community of artists we co-exist with.
This rich rural area where we reside is home to such a wealth of creative capacity with artisans who produce some truly exceptional pieces within a wide scope of mediums and forms. The Artsplace is one of the primary local venues for accessing area artwork.
If you’re looking to find a gift that fits well with the whole shop-local scheme we’re all embracing again this year while scoring on a thoughtful ‘I saw it and knew you would like it’ kind of present that endears you to your giftees then make a stop at the NCCA-Artsplace Artist’s Market.
And….. if you really want to be a hero..... give a gift certificate that’s good for one of the wide array of classes offered on site by NCCA-Artsplace. This is unquestionably one of those cool gifts that is welcomed when you receive it because of the kind thought associated with its purchase then enjoyed even more when you take the class.
So get over to downtown Fremont and check out NCCA-Artsplace
And when you do if you happen to mention to one of the staff that you heard it from Ken?
They’ll more than likely reply with…

Remember kind readers.....
N3 ShopLocal will consider suggestions of unique places for us to explore for this semi-regular and often a bit obtuse contribution to shoppers everywhere in our region and beyond.
That is, if the suggestions refrain from focusing on the ‘You should dress better’ or ‘Have you ever considered another line of work?’ categories that frequently arrive without even a whisper of solicitation.
