Promise Zone Scholarship Applications Due April 17
Promise Zone scholarship applications for the class of 2017 will be due on April 17, 2017.
The Newaygo County Area Promise Zone will provide a path to an associate degree at either Muskegon Community College or Baker College.
Scholarships will cover tuition and fees for a two-year award up to the value of the prevailing annual tuition rate of Muskegon Community College. Eligible students must be graduating from a Newaygo County high school and live in the NC RESA service area—including home schools meeting the same requirements—with at least a 2.5 GPA. The graduating class of 2017 will be the first to be eligible for the Promise scholarship.

Students will be required to submit final documentation, such as their college acceptance letter and financial aid package, by June 30. Notification of the Promise Zone scholarship award will be made by July 15.
