For two halves and 2 overtime periods the two surviving D4 soccer schools in the state went head to head and toe to toe battling to gain an advantage that never came as Jameson Goorman and his Liggett counterpart Sam Sword each collected 9 saves while defense dominated the field of play. So once again it came down to a shootout. And once again the Warriors prevailed as Goorman yielded one Knight shot then slammed the door and kept the ball out of the net while Brendan Fies and Isaac VanHoeven provided the SO goals to give the Warriors the win and their 7th title. It was the 6th shutout during their tournament run with opponents managing only a single goal against the Warriors.
