![]() The Lady Panthers came back from an 0-2 am start, to win 4 straight sets to win the Blue Bracket Championship at the Cadillac Invitational on Thursday, August 29th. After their slow start against Kingsley and North Muskegon in pool play, the Panthers made some adjustments and went to work to get back on track! After an almost 12 hour day, they brought home the Blue Bracket Trophy. At the service line, Allison Homfeld and Brooke Billings led with 5 aces. Emily Bayle and Rachel Romero each added 4 aces on the day. Offensive leader Bayle had 40 kills on the day, Romero 25, Isabelle Rumsey and Homfeld with 14 and 13 kills respectively. Hitters were assisted by Kyra Sayer with 46 assists and Aria Thomas with 30 assists. Defensively, Bayle had 46 digs, Romero 43 digs, Sierra Cechura 29, and Rylee Gleason with 21 digs on the day. Billings was the blocking leader of day with 10 blocks, Bayle 7 blocks, and Rumsey with 6 blocks. The final match had the Panthers defeating the Big Rapids Cardinals 25-17 and 25-19. The Panthers are now 6-4 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
