Long Lights Up Lakeview, Male Scorches Mohawks Newaygo 41 Lakeview 33 A huge 4th quarter propelled Newaygo past Lakeview and delivered their third consecutive win in a cross conference matchup with Lakeview Tuesday. The ‘Cats inched ahead early on and built a 6 point lead by intermission. The Lions came out of the locker room and clamped down on the defensive end, cutting the lead to 3 heading into the 4th. That’s when the Lions took over as they outscored the Wildcats 17-6 and came away with a solid win. The Tiger offense continued to click after intermission but it was the defensive effort that kept the ‘Hawks in check while Grant behind the red hot hand of Cec Male continued to score in the second half pulling away for the win.
