Tourney Time- Most Local Teams Will Be Traveling

Here we go as the high school sports season culminates with post season play.
The Tigers are the lone soccer entry remaining and Coach Daisy Gomez de Leon will have her team motivated to play Wednesday at Oakridge after defeating the CP Panthers in round one. They will face off with the Vikings of Tri County. Should they win they will play for the district title on Friday.
Softball action begins Tuesday as Grant visits Big Rapids to take on the Cards and the Panthers cruise north to Manistee for a matchup with Shelby. Both games are at 4pm. The rest of the teams will begin play Saturday.
In baseball the Tigers get a home game as they face Orchard View at 4:30pm, White Cloud will play Hart at 6pm in Manistee and Holton stays home to face Byron Center Zion at 4:30pm. Hesperia, Newaygo, and Fremont open on Saturday

Soccer

At Oakridge
Grant defeated Comstock Park 4-1 and will face Tri County who defeated the host 2-0. The match is Wednesday at 5pm.with the winner advancing to the championship vs the winner of OV and GR West Catholic Friday at 6pm.
