Grant Lifters Excel At State Meet

On Saturday February 26 the Grant Powerlifting team made its way to Lake Orion High School for the State Powerlifting meet. Grant had two Seniors qualify. 

Treyton Railling competed in the 207 lb weight class. He came in seeded fifth and came out moving to a fourth place state finish. He lifted a total of 1245 lbs: 445 lb squat, 300 lb bench press, and 500 lb deadlift. All three lifts were personal records for Railling. 

Teammate Jordan Fessenden competed in the 145 lb weight class. He came in seeded fourth and moved two spots to finish second place in the state. His lift total was 1040 lbs: 335 lb squat, 260 lb bench press, and 445 lb deadlift. Fessenden also posted personal records for all three lifts.

​Although Grant only brought two lifters, they finished 18th out of 62 scoring teams because of the strong performance from both Seniors.
