Hesperia still searching for win#1
WC 17-12 Hesperia 1-1 Armoando Escobedo Michael Norris and Alex Sayer took to the mound in game 1 but were hurt by a sea of errors (9) behind them, errors leading to 13 of the WC runs being unearned. Sayer scored the lone Panther run on an RBI by Travis Kurtz. The fielding woes continued in game 2 and the Panthers have yet to find some consistency at the plate. Coach Grimard: “Our guys are working really hard in practice and are making big gains, but we still have some things to learn about playing winning baseball. We are still making too many errors to win games, but we are continuing to work hard and we are continuing to improve. Tonight was a matter of too many errors to overcome with only four hits per game.” Wolters McGowen and Cruzan pitched for White Cloud in game 1 scattering 3 hits while Reuther finished with 4 hits and scored 3 runs for the visitors The Panthers visit Lakeview Friday. White Cloud (11-3) will host Holton Friday.
