Snyder, defense post a pair of shutouts
The season opener saw the Packers travel to Comstock Park and after a slow start the visitors fired on the Panther keeper with 24 shots on goal that saw 6 make it into the net. Mia Clemence transferred her skills from the basketball court to the soccer field seamlessly finishing with a hat trick while Riley Chase, Maddie Mater and Esther Vissia each tallied a goal. Vissia Clemence and Anna Norris added assists in the Packer victory. Hallie Snyder stopped all 4 Panther attempts to earn the shutout. In their home opener the Pack faced Potter’s House and got on the board quickly with Clemence finishing a ball from Chase just 5 minutes into the match. 9 minutes later it was Mater who set the table for Clemence to make it 2-0 then a minute later Chase set up Mater for the team's third goal. Just before the half Clemence hit pay dirt on a helper from Grace Evans. The second half saw Chase score the lone goal and the match ended 5-0 giving Snyder another shutout after stopping 2 Puma attempts. Fremont (2-0) hits the road again with a Friday visit to Gaylord (5pm) and a Saturday morning matchup with Alpena (11am).
