![]() Fremont 7 Tri County: 2 Wachter collects hat trick The Packers hosted the Vikings Tuesday afternoon in a conference matchup. Fremontgot on the board first on a goal from David Wachter. Tri County's Brian Corbett answered just minutes later to knot the game at 1 apiece. The Vikes grabbed the lead on a goal from Caleb Nave but right before the half Riccardo Lapertosa got the equalizer on a pass from Wachter and the teams reached intermission tied at 2. The Packers came out firing in the second half with 5 unanswered goals. Wachter added two more while Carter Moon, Jaxx Miller, Ed Hallberg added single tallies. Unus Opgard and Lapertosa also added single assists. The Packers outshot the Vikings 18-6. Fremont moves to 10-3-3 overall and 6-0-1 in the conference. Tri County dropped to 5-8 overall and 4-3 in the conference. Fremont hosts Newaygo (13-1 overall and 7-0 in conference) on Thursday for the conference regular season title. Fremont 2 Kenowa Hills 2 Long shot by Vissia salvages tie The Packers traveled to Kenowa Hills Monday evening to face the Knights in a non-conference match-up. The game was evenly played throughout and the score at halftime was 0-0. The Knights got on the board first when Elvin Mendez knocked a ball past Packer keeper Joe Kortge. Fremont answered just a few minutes later on a corner kick. Braiden McDonald flicked the ball to Jaxx Miller who dropped it on to Yunus Opgard's foot for the goal. Mendez answered right back with his second goal of the match making it 2-1 in favor of Kenowa Hills. The final goal of the match came off a set play for Fremont. Grant Vissia hit the set play from 40 yards out and it skipped by the keeper and the match ended in a 2-2 tie. Fremont outshot Kenowa 14-7 on the night. Joe Kortge made 5 saves in net for Fremont while Ryan Bart made 12 saves for the Knights. Fremont moves to 9-3-3 on the year and the Knights moved to 5-6-2.
