Packer Girls Compete In Rocket, Cougar Invitationals

 Back to back meets put the Packer girls team up against a rugged roster of teams this past weekend.
Friday at Reeths Puffer Kylee McDonald leapt 14’2” to capture first place in the long jump and followed it up with a 3rd place finish in the b200 with a 29:19. Kendra Fowler took top honors with a 2:39:47 run in the 800.
Hannah Hamilton, (1600 5:35.79),Katie Nicholas (400 1:04.64),and Riley Sweet (3200 12:49.73) each finished second and the 4x800 team of Fowler, Hamilton, Leah Converse  and Sweet finished 3rd as did the 4x400 team of Fowler, Hamilton, Converse and Nicholas.
Klayre Callison ran to a 6th place finish in the 300 hurdles and Hanna Hallberg tossed her wy to a 6th place in the discus.
On Saturday, the  team traveled to Grand Rapids Catholic Central and competed in the Cougar Invitational. The Packers finished 12th out of 14 schools. Katie Nicholas (Jr) finished 6th out of 32 in the 400 running her PR of the season with a 1:04.60 and Hannah Hamilton (Jr) finished 6th out of 27 in the 3200 running her PR with a time of 12:08.86.
