Rocket Invitational
The boys put out a decent showing in their first outdoor meet running in the white division of the Rocket Invitational.  We are a very young team this year and should gain much experience. I was quite impressed with Ben Schmidt (SR) and Nathan Walker (FR) running in the 9:40s in the 3200 run their first attempt.  I was also impressed with Freshmen Case Dekryger and Wes Ekkel running a solid 400 in their first attempt at the distance. Athletes who scored points for us in the Rocket invite were.
Adrian Zerlaut (Sr) 200 dash, Wes Ekkel 400 dash/High Jump, Case Dekryger 400 dash, Adam Ward (Fr) 800 run/4x800, Ben Schmidt 3200 run/4x800, Nathan Walker 3200 run/4x800, Ben Paige (Fr) 3200 run, Ben DeVries (Sr) 3200 run, Seth Vogel Shot Put/Discus.
Cougar Invitational
With a short turn around due to a meet reschedule we performed a little tired but had a few solid performances.  We did have a few athletes record big improvements. First year thrower Dylan Essebaggers (Jr) recorded at 2 foot PR in the Shot Put as he continues to learn the event.  In the 3200 run Ben Paige (Fr), Adam Ward (Fr), and Seven LaRoue (So) all cut large chunks of time from their personal records. Adam ran a fantastic race in his first attempt as distance runner, moving up from the 800.  His pacing was great as his second mile was 1 second faster than his first.
Athletes who scored points in the meet were Nathan Walker (Fr) 1 mile run, Ben Schmidt (Sr) 1 mile run/3200 run.
