Harris hits hat trick, defense yields just 2 shots on goal
The Fremont girls' soccer team had dropped 3 of their last 4 matches and 2 in a row heading into Friday's match up with the Tigers of Shelby. Thankfully for the Packers things started off well and continued the rest of the night. Bre Harris opened the scoring off a crossed ball by Taylor Crowley just a minute into the match. Harris added another first half goal off an assist by Natalie Jamieson with twenty minutes to play in the half. Harris was taken down just outside the 18 setting up a Holly Kortge set play goal just 10 minutes later. The score was 3-0 going into the half. Harris completed her hat trick with another assist by Jamieson. The final score was Fremont 4 - Shelby 0. The Packers outshot the Tigers 10-2. Taylor Mulder made 2 saves in net for the Packers on the way to her first shutout of the season. The Packers improve to 4-3 overall and the Tigers fall to 2-3.
