The Packers traveled to Newaygo on Tuesday afternoon for a showdown of unbeaten teams. Both teams struggled to finish but Fremont's David Wachter struck first on an assist from Grant Vissia. This goal stood at the half making it 1-0. The second half saw much of the same. Conner Roesler finished a shot with less than 10 minutes to play making the score 2-0 in favor of the Packers and the two goal lead held up for the remainder of the match Fremont outshot Newaygo 15-2. Joe Kortge made 2 saves in net for Fremont and Matthew Richardson made 13 saves for the Lions. Fremont improved to 5-0-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference and Newaygo fell to 4-1 overall and 4-1 in the conference.
