After three we were down 31-28. We traded blows in the fourth quarter but just never could recapture the lead and lost 47-41. We have a week to get ready for Lakeview when they come to town on Friday night. Jayden Robinson had a team High 12pts, David Higgs 10, Brady Strait 8, Coleson Cruzan 6, Caleb Canning 3 and Jayden Graves 2. Shelby is a well coached and talented team. We had a physical game last night against Grant and another one tonight vs. Shelby and the girls hung tough. I thought Kaelyn Stephens came off of the bench and played some big minutes for us which was huge. Big team win tonight for the girls.” Ruby Hughes continues to shine on the court tallying 13 points and taking 11 off the glass. Stephens hit for 10 points while Amaya Lathrop and Naomi Schillman each scored 6. But after intermission the Packers took control going up by 15 entering the final frame and securing the win Coach Zerfas: “We took awhile to get going and Grant played very well and smart. Grant has made huge strides this season as they normally do under Coach Delemater." Coach Delamater: “Fremont was tough today. We had the lead at the half, but we ran out of gas. They are relentless and the play was very physical. I thought we did a pretty good job of containing them in the half court, but they pressure you non-stop with the press and their transition offense. I think the game was much more competitive than the score shows, and I'm really proud of how we played.” Taylor DeKuiper knocked down 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds Mia Clemence had 22 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals, and Riley Chase had 10 points and 7 rebounds. We're still working to execute every possession. My guys will keep pursuing excellence." Zaiden Phillips led the Tigers with 20 points, Ethan DeLong hit for 11 and Sincere Hatch finished with 10.
