North Muskegon 37 White Cloud 35 The White Cloud Girls basketball team traveled to North Muskegon for a non conference battle with the Norse. The Indians took control early and often opening the first half with a 10 point lead but North Muskegon chipped away in the 2nd half and finally took the lead in the 4th quarter which they never relinquished. The 4th quarter again was the demise for White Cloud. Shooting 1-7 from the free throw line down the stretch proved to be the dagger. The Indians were led by Alexis Strait with 12 points, 3 assists, and 4 steals. Cassie Watson added 6 points and 7 rebounds. Naomi Thompson chipped 6 points. Carsyn Scarlavai added 6 points and 5 steals. The Indians (1-1, 1-2) continue their journey tonight against conference foe Holton Walkerville 63 Hesperia 34 The Wildcats jumped off to a 9 point lead after one then the teams played even heading into intermission. Once the second half started Walerville began pulling away and the Panthers could not keep pace. “Our team continues to struggle defensively,” said Coach Worcester. “ Our offense was a little better tonight , however we still struggle to find consistency. We can only continue to work and improve in all areas as a team.” Riley Taylor led the Panthers with 14points while Alex Sheehy paced the ‘Cats with 19..
