Mansfield Tosses 3 Inning No-No As Packers Sweep Vikes

In the opener Payton Mansfield doubled, singled scored 3 times and drove in a pair of runs.
Oh yeah, and he also  tossed 3 innings of near perfect baseball as he no hit the Vikes and allowed just a lone baserunner when he plunked the second batter he faced.
Meanwhile the Packer offense feasted on TC pitching led by Joey DeLong who slashed 4 singles and drove home a quartet of teammates in the process.
Every Packer in the lineup scored with Logan Nelson crossing the plate 4 times.

In the ‘cap the Vikings took a 3-0 lead after one but the Packers came back with 3 of their own in the second. The TC defense was their downfall as Fremont scored their 12 runs on just 6 hits with the Viking pitchers only allowing 3 earned runs due to 10 errors in the field for the hosts .
Drew DeBlake tossed 5 innings for the win and Michael Baden finished it off the final 2.
Fremont is now 14-1-1 on the year and return to action Monday when they host Montague in a non con game before returning to league action Tuesday when Chip Hills comes to town.
