The Tigers played some great tennis at the Regional tournament Thursday. The team finished in 4th place with 13 points. Only 5 points shy of qualifying for the state tournament, which the top 3 teams did. Cruz and Ovalle at 3D beat North Muskegon in a long battle going 3 sets to open up doubles action. Keelean, Cole, and Arends quickly won their first round matches. The Tigers 4 doubles team of Pleune and Pascoe fought back to win the 2nd set in their semi finals match vs the #2 set, but couldn't quite get the upset. Emma Hetler filled in at 2 dubs with another freshman Patin to take the first round victory. Presler and Stong had to face a senior duo in the form of a seeded West Catholic team, but competed hard right to the end having many deuce games.Kirstyn Throop was the #1 seed at 4 singles and only lost 4 games in her 3 matches in route to the regional championship.
