Tigers heading to South Christian for Thursday Regionals
The Tigers defended their home court in their last dual match of the year against Sparta Tuesday night. The girls swept the match showing some grit by coming back after losing the first set in three different flights. The team was powered by seniors Emerson Cole at #2 singles 5-7 7-6 (9-7) 10-6 and Miriam Delgado assisted by freshman Sydney Patin at #2 doubles 5-7 6-1 10-5. Olivia Keelean won her 12th match at #1 singles, Jill Arends locked up her 14th win at 3S not giving up a single game, and Kirstyn Throop chalked up win #19 at 4th singles. Elvira Cruz and Cecilia Ovalle won 4-6 6-4 10-4 for their 13th win at #3 doubles. Brooklyn Presler and Kathryn Stong only gave up 3 games to win at the top doubles spot. Kaitlin Pascoe and Liberty Pleune won in straight sets going 6-2 in the second. The Tigers are heading to South Christian Thursday for the Regionals.
