Grant Grapplers Grab Second in Tourney

The Grant Wrestling team took home the runner-up trophy from the annual Kelloggsville Team Tournament. The Tigers opened by defeating Fennville 54-10,before tacking on win number 2 over host Kelloggsville 54-27. Senior James Montney recorded his 100th career win by pin during the dual. 
The grapplers from Grant then pulled off a tight 37-36 victory over Coopersville then saw their 5 dual victory streak get halted by Gull Lake by a score of 48-29. The Tigers finished strong defeating Buchanan 54-24 to secure second place in the 6 team tournament
Going undefeated on the day with 5 victories were Billy Ostyn (4 pins), Jaggar Jenerou (3 pins), Kalub Bonter (3 pins), and Montney (5 pins). Gabe Castro (4 pins) went 4-1, while Emma Morey, Joe Millett, Hunter Humphreys, Drew Luoma (3 pins), and Austin Ulrich each pitched in 3 victories.
