Grant Grapplers Compete at K-Ville

The Tigers took to the mat Saturday at the Dave Fleming Memorial Tournament taking 3 out of their 5 matches..
They opened the tourney with a loss to the Hudsonville B squad (26-49), but came back to post three straight over GR Union (54-25), Grandville B (48-28) and host Kelloggsville (54-30). In their final contest  the Tigers battled the Coopersville team before falling 30-45.
Antonio Santana, Alex Russo and Kashton Atwood went undefeated  finishing 5-0. Santana and Russo each collected three pins and Atwood tallied a pair.
Cameron Espinoza also notched three pins on his way to a 4-1 mark and Hayden Kass finished 3-2. Malachi Dawe, Logan Hall, Rico Robinson, Landon Wing, Leonard Osborn and Kaleb Paige each picked up a pair of wins on the day.
The Tigers are 4-2 having collected a win over Kenowa Hills earlier in the week.
This Saturday the team is scheduled to head for Hart for the Mark Bosse Memorial Tournament.
