Tiger Tracksters Compete At Scottville The Tigers turned in some gutsy performances, on a cold, windy evening while competing in the MCC Optimist Invitational held in Scottville, MI. Colten Covington broke 10 minutes to win the 3200m run, and he was a member of the 3200m relay team, along with David Jaimes, Eli Bradley, and Spencer Cole which also earned a medal for their efforts.Spencer Cole also ran a season best time in the 1600 m run to pick up a medal. Chaise Konicki received medals in both of the throwing events, as he threw a season best in the Discus for a 2nd place finish. TJ Railling received medals in the Shot Put along with the 400m relay team where he teamed up with Trevor Lowry, Jared Evans, and Johann Vega. Benny Gonzales earned a medal and valuable points in the 110m High Hurdles, and Brett Long garnered a medal with a personal best performance in the Long Jump event. The Lady Tigers endured the cold windy weather in Scottville, MI as they competed in the MCC Optimist Invitational.The 3200 m relay team of Elizabeth Gates, Maggie Whitney, Sam Fryling, and Zoe Zimmerman, earned a medal for their efforts. Savannah Passage was able to earn a medal in the open 400m dash - doing it the hard way of running against the clock from the slow heat. Pack Track At Kathy Talus Invitational The boys finished 6th out of 9 teams on a cold and breezy day. This was a relay meet with a few open events. The boys set one meet record in the Super DMR (1200, 800, 1600, 3200). They bettered the old meet record by about 3 minutes in winning the event. Colton Best, Adam Ward, Nathan Walker, and Ben Schmidt were the relay runners. Other event placers were – Ben Schmidt 1st – 1600, Nathan Walker 2nd – 1600, 4x100 Relay (Wyatt Hanshue, Caleb Geeting, Tristin Marfia, Wesley Ekkel) – 5th, Seth Vogel 6th – Shot Put, Wesley Ekkel 5th – High Jump.
