The victory snapped a 12 game conference skid. Coach Hudson: "We are happy for our guys to see some things click for us on Friday. We challenged them in every facet of the game this week and we were able to capitalize in each area, from recovering some onsides, turnovers, and executing a new passing concept this week. "We hope this win will build some much-needed momentum for the remaining 1/3 of the season. We will be tested each of our final three weeks of the season, so we will need to continue improving every day in order to compete on Friday nights." Karter Frens scored the first 2 TDs of the game, the first from a yard out and the next a 41 yard scamper. OV responded later in the first with a 33 yard TD strike from Cardinal QB Peyton Babbitt to Tyshawn Smith to pull the hosts within 6. Early in the second the Pack struck again with Frens found a hole and scored from 22 yards out. Once again OV responded with a passing TD to pull within a score but a pair of Packer drives that ended with Talen Reichert-Slater taking it in from a yard out each time gave Fremont the 20 point halftime lead. The 4 second half TDs came from Frens and Khai Noordyk. Frens finished with 228 yards and Noordyk added 118. Trentyn Corley and Asa Barnhard led the team in tackles with 7 apiece. Tritan Corrigan picked off a pair of Cardinal passes and Barnhard also grabbed an interception.
