Robins double double helps send RD’s to semi final meeting with Hart
Coach Jordan: “I challenged my team after the way the game ended on Friday, Hesperia outplayed us in that second half. “We wanted to limit Tinkham and unlike Friday we were able to keep her under wraps all night. "Ryann Robins showed up huge for us tonight in regards to limiting her touches. A complete 180 from Friday. Really glad to see that as we need her to impact every game on both ends of the floor. Tonight she battled. Had 15 points and 13 boards but it was on the defensive end that I’m most pleased with. We had 10 girls get in the scores book tonight, June Newell’s 7 was second highest and Abby Fowler had 5 assists and 5 steals. “Courtney Boes had 4 points 10 boards 4 steals, her effort tonight was off the charts... On one defensive position she dove out of bounds, saved the ball and got back up sprinted across to the other side of the floor to an immediate trap which led to a steal, just relentless. “Tonight was fun, Wednesday is a whole other animal. Hart is a great team.. I've seen them in person this year. I went to that second Montague game, and they have developed a great culture there. They do several things well and have balance. I know they press and play an up-tempo style. Addi Hovey is a force regardless of the fact she is a freshman, great athlete and I was super impressed with Aspen Boutell she is a floor general. We are definitely the underdogs "We will need our best game of the year, and will have to compete to the best of our abilities it's a great opportunity for this young team”
