In a damp, but not drenched evening, the CSAA track teams came together at Newaygo High School to run in the league championship meet, which counts for 50% of the team title. The other 50% is earned in head to head competitions throughout the season.
The boys Big Rapids team took first overall, but the CSAA team champion will have to wait to be decided until one more meet is held this Wednesday. For the girls, it was Chippewa Hills who took home the trophy, having won the championship meet and also the head to head competitions throughout the season.
