White Cloud Cross Country competed at the 25th Portage Invite on Saturday, October 7. As first-time participants, the boys team made their mark, scoring among many state-ranked teams in the 32 team race. A tenth place finish moved them up two places from their pre-race ranking. In addition, the team finished ahead of regional rival Breckenridge. Coleson Cruzan was 19th with a new PR and record time for the record board with 17:12. Carson Foondle was 34th posting a new PR with 17:40. Kaleb Canning was 59th, Wyatt Karnes also set a new personal best with a 72nd place finish in 19:00. Avery Bowman finished 104th and Dalton Crawford was 137th. Medals were earned by Coleson and Carson. In the girls race, all three runners set Personal Best times, starting with Andrea Feldpausch, who bested her time from two weeks ago with a 21:11 finish for 36th place and a medal. Charlotte Karnes finished 179th and Anna Mohr was 181st. Places for the JV race were Trysten Tancock 18th , Jarrett Warlick 27th, Tyler Higgins 30th,and Sam Viher 41st. Trysten and Tyler also set new personal bests times. All four JV runners were medalists. Runner of the meet was Dalton Crawford. Congratulations to all the runners
