Boys take top spot, girls finish a strong third
Photo by Joan Ludtke From Coach Atwood: The White Cloud Cross Country team competed at the final CSAA Silver Jamboree on Tuesday, October 20. The boys team pulled off the meet victory with a score of 34 points, 1 point less than rival Kent City. Leading the team with a first place finish was Tristan McHaney who also had the best three finishes on the year for all conference runners. Close behind was Nathan Ciolk in 2nd place, Kobe Canning 4th, Terry Trendel 13th, Christain Ringler 14th, Nik Parks 18th, Carson Foondle 22nd. Malachi Graves was 23rd, Ashton Byle 30th, Christian Moomey 35th, Keagan Kailing 39th, Ian Pierce 40th, Zane Keith 43rd, Zak Buttleman 44th, Adam Bulk 45th, and Parker Karnes 46th. The girls team finished 3rd behind powerhouse Kent City and Morley-Stanwood. Leading the way for the lady Indians was Naomi Thompson in 12th place. Stine Kristensen was 13th, Alexus Richmond 18th, Annie Feldpausch 19th, Grace Richards 27th, Jolena Deaton 31st, CeCe Rodriguez 35th, Allie Rodriguez 36th, Chloe Higgs 37th, Lillie Keith 38th, and Sydnee Ochs 39th. Christian Moomey had his personal best time while season best times were achieved by Jolena Deaton, Lillie Keith, and Naomi Thompson. All-Conference honors were decided after the final jamboree and White Cloud had three First Team All-Conference awards for Tristan McHaney, Nathan Ciolk, and Kobe Canning. We additionally had All-Conference Honorable Mention for Naomi Thompson, Stine Kristensen, Nik Parks, and Terry Trendel. Congratulations to all the runners.
